Zoom Webinars & Meetings – Key Differences

TCNJ IT has a limited number of Zoom Webinar licenses available to use on an as-needed basis. To request one, please contact the IT Help Desk.

Here are some key differences between a standard Zoom meeting and a Zoom Webinar:

Meeting	Webinar
High Level of interaction between all participants	Primarily 1 or several presenters to large audience Hosts & Panelists are the primary focus Audience interacts with host via Q&A and Polling Attendees can be prevented from chatting with each other
Under 300 Participants (Larger meeting license may be available, call the IT Help Desk for details)	Under 500 Participants (Larger meeting license may be available, call the IT Help Desk for details)
Group Discussion Brainstorming Interactive Training	Speeches Lectures Panel Discussions
Replicates the feel of a classroom or conference room	Replicates the feel of a lecture hall, theater, or auditorium
