Document Camera
A document camera, also known as a “visual presenter”, is a camera, either mounted on an arm or in some cases in the ceiling and focused on a fixed spot, that allows you to display things on a video projector. It works as a replacement for an opaque projector or a transparency overhead projector.
MTSS has different document cameras in different locations throughout campus, so you should check the page for the classroom you are using for more details. If you require to have one delivered, you may request it with a minimum of 2 working days’ notice through the Webcheckout reservation system – it is listed under Visual Presenter (VPM)
Some things you can display with a document camera:
- Printed pages
- Books
- Transparencies
- Any object you would like to magnify on the screen for the whole class to see.
